April '26 Bookmark of the Month: Believe in the Library

The April limited-edition bookmark debuted for the Emerson community in early April 2026. Inspired by the wildly popular book and new movie, Project Hail Mary. In April, the movie, starring Ryan Gosling, became an instant hit! The front of the bookmark is designed like the promotional materials of the Project Hail Mary movie poster, and the back features an ode to Ryan Gosling. March '26 Bookmark of the Month: Write Your Own Story (Alysa Liu-brary)

The March limited-edition bookmark debuted for the Emerson community in mid March of 2026, after students and faculty returned from spring break. Inspired by olympic figure skater, Alysa Liu, this bookmark is an ode to Alysa! Not only did she perform exceptionally well at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Rome, but she did so using her own music, skating in costumes she felt comfortable in, and after training on a schedule that she approved. This shift was unlike her past experience as a skater, with strict regulations on how she should skate, look, and even eat. Now at 20 years of age, Alysa is not afraid to do things on her own terms and win gold from it! The front of the bookmark is designed with Alysa wrapped in an American flag with the caption, "Write your own story" as a reminder to the Emerson community to make their own path. On the back, there are more designs of Alysa with a QR code that allows viewers to explore a full list of Iwasaki Library resources.

February '26 Bookmark of the Month: Visit the Heated Library!

The February limited-edition bookmark debuted for the Emerson community in early February 2026. Inspired by the wildly popular book and TV show, Heated Rivalry, February in Boston saw multiple snowstorms and cold temperatures. The front of the bookmark is designed like the cover of the Heated Rivalry book, and the back features an ode to ice skating and hockey (just in time for the 2026 Olympics!) Inspired by the series finale of Stranger Things, the front of the bookmark features characters from the show, including Eleven using her powers to throw a book! November ’25 Bookmark of the Month: Utilize the library's "Jellycat-alog"

This limited-edition bookmark debuted for the Emerson community in early November 2025. Inspired by the wildly popular stuffed animal collectibles known as jellycats. On the front of the bookmark, some of the more well known jellycats are busy studying. Flip it over and enjoy fall-themed jellycats with some food and Thanksgiving related jellycats. October ’25 Bookmark of the Month: The Nightmare Before Midterms

This limited-edition bookmark debuted for the Emerson community in early October 2025. In efforts to raise awareness on voter registration, this design was voted on and chosen out of three other options. In our Library newsletter we asked folks to choose between a theme of: The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jellycats, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and The Life of a Showgirl, and The Nightmare Before Christmas won! The front features a classic scene from the movie and the back includes characters from the film with Jack Skellington singing, "What's this? What's this? There's RESOURCES everywhere!" The back also has a QR code for readers to explore a full list of Iwasaki Library resources.
